What’s Happening at KCYC?

Sarah Sands, KCYC’s wonderful weaver, has developed lessons to teach the beginner weaver advanced skills, taking them to the next level.  These classes will be held on Thursday evenings beginning in June from 6-8:00.  Pre-registration is mandatory (at least 2 weeks in advance).  Sarah and I will be packing kits for each student and the looms need to be warped before the class begins.  Classes take place for 2 sessions and will cost $30 for both, plus materials.  Don’t worry if you don’t have a loom…. KCYC has 2 looms that students may rent for $40 for 2 weeks, one week before the class so it can be warped and the week after the class.  If you have questions or wish to sign up just call KCYC at 304.926.8589.

KCYC is branching out again in 2018. We are now “assembling” yarn into finished accessories. The designs are our own and we are using made in America yarns and/or Peruvian merino wool.  This line of products can be found and purchased on our Stitch Assembly website, along with the kits.

The website for Stitch Assembly by KCYC is www.StitchAssembly.com.  Please check it out!
Individual leaflets and kits are available for purchase at KCYC.

I’m so happy to offer various Make and Take workshops through the summer!  There will be Tapestry weaving, braided bracelets, macrame plant hangers and cords for necklaces with handmade clay pendants.

Workshops will be held from 6-9:00pm with light snacks provided.  The best thing is, there are no prerequisite skills for the classes.  Everything you need to know will be taught during the class and the finished project is taken home!

The workshops are great activities for friends, coworkers, bridal parties and birthday parties. Call 304.926.8589 to register.  Limit: 6 per class
